In a Blogging Rut

Perhaps some of you have noticed that I have been MIA lately. To be honest, our internet at home isn't working anymore. The only time I have to blog is now at work. I meant to catch up while we were at home for Christmas, but that week literally flew right by and I never thought twice about blogging. I have so many things to say (some VERY good news for those of you who don't know), and so many pictures to update you on, but I'm not on my computer right now, which means I don't have my pictures. I'll save it for my next post, which will be my 100th post. I'll make it a good one, I promise.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Ours was wonderful getting to see all of our friends and family. Thank you to all of those who made it special for us. Sorry we can't be hosting our annual New Year's Party tonight. We'll be staying home, enjoying a nice dinner that Spencer planned. Happy New Years to all!

A Virginia Beach Thanksgiving

I feel behind in posting about Thanksgiving since my 2 other SIL's have already written about our holiday. You can read them here and here.

Since Spencer and I were definitely planning on going to Georgia for Christmas this year, we decided that a trip down for Thanksgiving would just be too much for us. We explained it to our families, and they seemed fine with it. Before you know it, I got a call from Rebecca telling me that everyone was coming to our house instead! Even though we were nervous about the size of our humble abode and just how crazy it would get, we were excited to see everyone. It did get to be a little crowded at times, but overall, it was a fantastic Thanksgiving. Gary and Grandmoo - the ones who usually do all the Thanksgiving cooking, were still in vacation mode, and did not want to cook this year. So, what do we do? We head over to the local Golden Corral. The place was packed full of....well....just look at Rachel's blog. haha! Although it was a little sad that we didn't have leftovers to last us through another week, it was definitely nice to not have to worry about cooking or cleaning!

The rest of the time the family was here, we really just hung out and played some games. Oh yeah, and I think the highlight of the week was watching Jones watch Home Alone. That kid loves to watch people get hurt, so you can imagine his laughing while watching that for the first time.

Thank you for coming up to see us everyone! Spencer and I hope that everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving, and hope that you start your Christmas celebrations as soon as possible!
