I've already lost track of time and when we've done things, but we've been to 3 concerts in the last week and a half - all amazing!
We went to see Chuck Carrier with Jason and Rebecca at Smith's Olde Bar. He blows me away every single time. Pure talent. He was opening for the Joshua Radin band, who was good, but just very soft. Their back up singer was really good - her name is Priscilla Ahn, and if you're interested you can listen to her on myspace.
We saw Collective Soul at Chastain Park. I think that's my favorite venue - you bring your own dinner, candles, and I just love the atmosphere and set up. Our friends Jesse and Natalie ended up going so we sat with them. It was a very enjoyable evening - their show was good as always.
Last but not least we went to Counting Crows. Our friend Christopher bought pre-sale tickets so we had amazing seats. Goo Goo Dolls opened for them - and they were exactly how we expected them. All the well known songs are sung by the one guy, but the other singer sang some of his songs, and may very well be the worst music I have ever heard! Counting Crows put on a great show - and it's always better when you are up closer.
For the actual Labor Day we went kayaking with some friends and family. Our friends Jackie and Brooks knew about a place up in Ellijay that was only $20.00 a person for the whole day. Everyone had so much fun, except for the near death tip-overs a couple people had. We actually had some pretty big rapids we went down. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from that yet. Well that's what's been going on in our lives. We are on a volleyball team with some friends in a Sandy Springs league. Our first game is Monday, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited to play again.
