I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday today. Spencer and I went to our old ward in Atlanta and loved seeing all of our friends there. Then we went to Covington to have dinner with his parents, Jessica, Brad, Braden,Teryn, and his aunts and uncle. Dinner was delicious as always. Spencer and I somehow ended up making our way up to the attic and found boxes and bags of his old toys. It was so entertaining for me to watch him pull out things like his transformers, tell me the story of when and how he got them, and then continue to transform the machines as if he were a little kid again. It was great.
Today was especially great for me to think back about the moment I saw the tomb. It was definitely the most moving experience I had while in Israel. We were on a group tour of the garden, and while the guide was telling us some of the facts from the garden, I turned my head, saw the tomb, and instantly started crying. It completely caught me off guard, but I can't deny the feeling that I had there. I know that Christ was once there. I know it. I know that He now lives. I know that He is our Savior. I am grateful that we can have a day to focus on His Resurrection and appreciate the significance of it in our lives.
