Anyways, Friday we went to the state park. The beach was beautiful, and luckily it was mostly just families there. When we first got there it was overcast and windy, so I never thought to put sunscreen on. I ended up falling asleep on both sides, only to wake up to a bright shining sun... and a painful sunburn. Feet, ears, scalp, armpits, everywhere, burnt to a crisp. Ouch! After laying out for several hours we went back to the house, showered, and went to the new mall, Pier Park. I loved it! The architecture was so "Florida-esq", and the colors were BRIGHT. We ended up watching the movie 21, which we both enjoyed.
Saturday we went to the state park again because of the pleasant atmosphere we had experienced. This time I was smart enough to pack on the sunscreen. After another great day at the beach, we hurried back to the house to get ready to drive to the local air force base to watch the yearly air show. We made it just in time for all the cool jets....I don't remember the official names of them, sorry. It was really fun to watch all the tricks. The end performance was done by the Thunderbirds. I was just in awe the whole time at how synchronized they were. It was great. That night we ate and watched the basketball games.
Sunday we woke up early to go to church. Last year when we visited these friends, we attempted to go to church, but never found it. We ended up in the middle of a golf course. This year we were determined to find it. After looking up directions on the church website, we left the house, giving ourselves 15 minutes to find the building. 40 minutes later, and a lot of turning around, we finally found it. Our directions were way off, and sent us in the opposite direction! Anyways, as we got there the last speaker had just started. He was introducing himself and started by saying he served in the Canada, Montreal mission (where Spencer served), got married, had some kids, graduated college, and decided to join the Navy. He and his family lived in Hawaii for the first 4 years of his military career, and right as they were about to get out of the military, they offered him a job in Italy. Spencer and I talked to him afterwards and told him we could only hope that our Navy experience is as exciting as his was. It actually got me pretty dang excited. After church was over, we couldn't help but sneak in a few more hours on the beach. This time, however, we decided to go to the beach at Pineapple Willy's. This, I'm afraid was not smart. We had a nice big group of Spring Breakers plop right behind us. It was a group of extremely annoying girls who couldn't stop cussing and bragged about who they slept with the night before. Ugh. I thought it could be entertaining to go people watch there, but the more people I saw, the more disgusted and disappointed I was with society.
As for some better news, my sister Brooke is engaged! She is getting married to Justin, whom she met at the Salt Lake Airport in October. They are getting married on the beach in Floriday May 20. He is a recent convert, so they will be married in May, and sealed in the temple in January. Congrats Brooke and Justin!
Enjoy the pictures.

Another getaway. You're always on a getaway! And did you know my brother served in the same mission as Spencer. At least I think it's the same. Quebec right...French speaking....I think so. But I think Spencer's older than my brother.
