I am by no means writing this to get anyone to feel sorry for us. Well, maybe you can feel sorry for Spencer a little. I just want to tell everyone how crazy our life is. In my previous post I wrote about how crazy Spencer's first few days were. Well, I forgot to mention that the day before he reported to OCS, he called me to tell me that his clutch broke on his car. We ended up having to arrange a way to get his car towed to a shop, and for him to catch a ride to OCS the following day.
Well, today, I got a phone call from the shop telling me that the bill would be over $1,000. I totally trust them too, so don't be thinking that they're taking advantage of me. They had to replace the clutch, bearings, and the main cylinder(I think). Anyways, they didn't charge us for some of the labor - and they were willing to hold it at their shop for as long as we needed them to. They were super nice - but $1,000!?!?! Holy COW! Then, in a couple hours, I get a call from Spencer. Yesterday he had told me he felt like he had a chest cold coming. Well when I talked to him today he said he had to go in to get a chest x-ray and that things weren't looking so good. About 30 minutes later he called again to tell me he had pneumonia! The poor guy! I feel so helpless. He couldn't even talk to me tonight because he was feeling so bad and had to get his roommate to call. He's been very weak all day, and his roommate had to move out so he didn't get sick. Since he was supposed to be starting his new class tomorrow - and is now sick, this means he will have to stay at least another week in the holding class. Possibly even 2 weeks, depending on how quickly he heals. THIS SUCKS!
Maybe you could possibly sneak him into your prayers sometime. It'd be appreciated. And if you REALLY love him, you could ask for his address and write him a letter. He will love you forever for it.

I HATE, I mean HATE car problems! They are the worst!!! I am sorry to hear about Spencer. He will definitely be in Brooks and my prayers! You will be too Stacy. It is no fun not having a husband around. If Brooks works late one night I go crazy. I couldn't even imagine him being gone longer than a night. I am so codependent. We will be praying for both of you!
Send me his address. Mom called and told me about Spencer. I'll keep yall in our prayers too.

Hey Staci, mom had told me about Spence and we are praying as well. He is one tough cookie. I know he will do well. By the way, totally off the subject, I would love for you to take some pics of Caleb for us when he is born. Probably Colton too since I haven't gotten many of him either. Anyway, I'll be in touch.
