Weekend in Georgia

This weekend was crazy busy but crazy fun for me. I flew down to Georgia for a few exciting events. I got in late Friday night. Brooke picked me up and we then met up with Justin, Pete and Lisa and ate at Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles. It was so beyond delicious. Yuuum. Saturday, Brooke and Justin were sealed in the temple. It was a great experience for everyone who attended. I'm pretty sure I've never seen my sister so happy.

Immediately following the temple, my dad and I headed over to one of my very favorite people in the entire world's birthday party. Not just any birthday party, a 100th birthday party. This lady is my hero. My family has gone to church with her for many years, and she is so inspirational. She is a very talented piano player, and has played in hotels, for silent movies, senior citizen homes, and many other people. Even to this day, if you get people to start singing a song, any song, she will find the chords and start accompanying them. I have a million stories I could share about her, and how witty and charming she is. I hope I can some day be as pleasant and entertaining as this woman is.

After the birthday party we went back home and had a baby shower/open house for Brooke and Justin. Friends and family came and everyone had a good time.

Sunday was church of course, then I did a quick photo shoot of Brooke and her cute baby bump. Maternity pictures coming soon.
The weekend flew by, but it was definitely worth it.

What a great weekend! We didn't know about Justin and Brooke's sealing, so it was great to get the news and see pictures through your blog.
