Epilator Follow Up

I must say, I was surprised to see how many people were interested in the epilator after I wrote just how painful it was. But that just goes to show how desperate we women are to ditch our normal daily shaving routine.

It's been several weeks since my first time epilating. I have had regrowth. And here are my thoughts and answers to your questions:

I still love this thing!!! It is definitely worth the pain for me. Just the other day I shoved my leg in Spencer's face and told him I hadn't shaved in a week, yet they were pretty much hair free. It is the best feeling to be able to throw on some shorts at any given time and not give any thought to just how hairy my legs are. My hair has grown back thinner, which makes it less painful for when I epilate again. I love it.

Now for some of your questions. Chelsey - I took a picture after the first time I did my thighs. I'm not sure how well you can see the red spots, but they were covering my legs.

Rachel - we ordered ours from Amazon for almost $75.00. See here.  It may sound expensive to you, but think about how you won't have to buy razor cartridges NEARLY as often. Plus, think about getting a wax at the salon. You will pay at least that much for one time. So we felt justified in our purchase. I have also read a lot of reviews about one that Braun makes. See here. It's nearly half the price, and has great reviews. The benefit of the one I got is that it has 72 tweezers, which means it gets more hair with less time/effort. Also, I have not used it on my arms yet. My arm hair is so thick it's not even funny. I have to wait for a day before I have nothing to do so I can hide all the irritation. Again, if your hair is thin, you won't have this much of a problem with the pain/irritation. I think I'm just a special case with my man hair.
Emily (and Rebecca) - I have only had 2 or 3 ingrown hairs that are worth telling you about. Yes, they were a bit painful, but they don't bother me enough to quit using it. I try to scrub down my legs with a loofah in the shower every day to prevent them. I think it seems to help.

Candice - If you're talking about more painful places as in bikini area, then no, I haven't tried it. Don't really plan to in the near future.
Annie - I'd love to get your thoughts on how you are liking yours!

Wow...i can definitely see the spots...but if I could not shave for a week and have smoothe legs--life would be wonderful. P.S. Those pictures of the waterfalls are incredible! Wish I could look out my window and see something besides snow!

I had two treatments of laser hair removal last year. I love what it did for my legs. I still have hair, but it is now thinner and less of it. My legs have never felt this smooth.
