Eleanor Goes to the Zoo and Loves It

This is not our first time taking Eleanor to the zoo. No, we've been at least 3 times before. But this trip was pretty special. This time, she got it. The previous times, she was more interested in the kids running around her. This time, she saw and recognized the animals, and the look of amazement never left her eyes. She ran from animal to animal, but sometimes turned back around to see the previous one for a little bit longer. She "ahh ahh"-ed at the monkeys, growled BACK at the lion (because he was totally lion roaring at us), petted the goats, and "ooooh"ed at the cow(there is a petting zoo for the keiki). I think the lion was her favorite part, because she was growling almost constantly after we walked away from him until the time we left.

I enjoyed watching her every single second. I couldn't help but think about what Disney will be like whenever we get the chance to take her.
Instead of Disney, I'll just settle for a year long pass at the zoo and hope that the excitement doesn't wear off anytime soon. This parenting business can be quite fun sometimes.

Thanks for sharing! Being a grandparent can be fun as well as long as we get to see our grandkids! For now we will just enjoy the pictures!
