We've lived here for 4 years now, and it has taken me this long to watch a 20 minute YouTube video, 20 question test, and $20 to get my boat license. The marine base by our house offers this, as well as boat rentals for very affordable prices. Alison and Wayne came to visit, so I used that as my motivation to just get it done.
The sandbar is about a 15-20 minute ride out. At low tide, you can set up your easy corners, grills, beach chairs, and have a little bbq out in the middle of the ocean. It's pretty cool. We didn't come very prepared, so we walked around a little, snorkeled a little, and just hung out on the boat. But next time, it'll be a party.
