After the volcano park, we drove over to the Kona side. We stayed in a nice little resort and had an amazing snorkeling experience at a beach nearby. I think I have some video from our GoPro, but we discovered that if we use it underwater, it doesn't focus on anything.
Anyways, it was a very very short amount of time on that side, especially for the 2+ hour drive to get there. But, we did have some good meals, and like I said, the snorkeling was the best I've EVER seen. The coral reef was alive and colorful, and the fish were all sorts of neon colors. Very cool.
Before we headed back to the airport, we stopped by Akaka Falls for this brief hike. And then, that was the end of our Big Island trip.
