My First Wedding Shoot

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to tag along with Doug Yancey, an Atlanta photographer to a wedding in Lawrenceville. He basically just said to bring my camera and feel free to take pictures of whatever I wanted. Since there was a total of 3 photographers, and I didn't want to overwhelm the wedding party, I decided to stick to the details of the weddings. I also didn't want all 3 of us to have the same pictures. Doug was a big help to me throughout the entire wedding - helping with lighting, settings, etc. I realized that weddings are not quite as easy as I pictured them to be. So, here are some of my favorites. Feel free to give any sort of criticism.

All tube-top bridesmaids dresses? Wow that definitely isn't a Mormon wedding. lol.

I like the idea with the headless...or partially headless pictures!

What kind of camera are you using?

Stacy,

Looks great! Photography can be quite the obsession!!! What camera do you have? I'm so glad you have been keeping up with my blog, and equally happy that now I can keep up with yours! I remember you with blonde hair, but the brown looks amazing. You two make a beautiful couple!!! Not surprised!

Great job! You are going to love photography. Some people just have an eye for photography and it comes easy to get the good shots. You seem like a natural! I think the challenging part is working with lighting, figuring out the crazy complex cameras, and then the digital editing possibilites are endless!! Good luck and have tons of fun! You should tag along with Eric at some of our weddings. You'd have a blast!

Janet-

If you come back to read these, will you add me to your list so I can see your blog? My email is stace002 at gmail. Thanks! I would LOVE to tag along on Eric's weddings. The experience teaches SO much more than any reading you can do.
