The last 6 weeks have been nothing but the above. It has been heaven. No schedule. No responsibilities outside of caring for Eleanor. But now real life begins. I started working again this week. Spencer's friend Erich is in town. So we are saying goodbye to our hermit crab life and getting back to the real world, only with one more person included. More car rides (which are not so fun for her most of the time), and more strangers wanting to come up and touch her. I'm a little sad about it, but at the same time, I have enjoyed every second of our time at home together.

Coming Out of Our Shells
