Mariner's Ridge

I realize that's a lot of pictures- probably more than necessary- but it seems that the selection process is something I will always struggle with when it comes to blogging.

This was a pretty fun hike. It was a little bit longer than we anticipated, but that's only because we anticipated a quick, 1hr max hike. Eleanor got pretty fussy midway through, so she walked around on her own for a bit. Then out of desperation, I put her on my back and carried her the rest of the way. Note to parents - when out in nature and you have a fussy child, give them something to distract them. I gave Eleanor a giant leaf, and she held on to that thing for dear life the rest of the hike. This is not the first time I have used that trick to calm her down.

And just one more thing - in the only picture of the 3 of us together, I realize I look pregnant. The other shot that I didn't include was even worse. Well, in case you are wondering, that is not a pregnant belly. That is actually a very, very, full bladder belly. So, if you ever plan on doing this hike, use the bathroom before leaving the house!!

Eleanor is so cute. Beautiful scenery and that picture of Spencer cracks me up.
