This Christmas was exactly what you'd want in a Hawaiian Christmas. We of course went to see the Honolulu Christmas Lights, as we have every year we've been here. Eleanor freaked out every time she saw a trolley drive by covered in Christmas lights and filled with people singing and waving. She wanted to get on so bad. So after we had finished walking around, we asked and asked and asked around until we could figure out how to get on a trolley ride. We finally found it, and apparently people had reserved their rides online days and weeks ahead of time. We got on a waiting list and hoped and prayed they would call our name while Eleanor impatiently waited. Finally, FINALLY they called our name, and Eleanor was in little Christmas light trolley heaven.
We took her to see Santa at the mall, and while it wasn't as disastrous as last year, she still wasn't thrilled with the idea of sitting in his lap. She warmed up to him a little when he offered her a candy cane. She then talked about Santa Claus almost every day. And every time she saw a candy cane, she was talk about Santa. So maybe by next year she'll like the guy.
Christmas day was as chill as could be. It is sad not being surrounded by all your family members, but if that's not an option, it's nice to sit back and just enjoy a quiet day. Eleanor came out and saw what Santa brought her. We opened all our presents, ate breakfast, then just watched her play with her toys for a few hours. Later that afternoon we met up with some friends and went paddle boarding. It was a beautiful day, and I can't help but enjoy these last quiet holidays before our family doubles in size. Speaking of the triplets, my Christmas day belly was 17 weeks.

It sounds like the perfect Christmas. I loved our Christmas when we stayed in Moscow just the 3 of us (and my prego self) It would have been even nicer if the weather had been perfect like in Hawaii!!
